CHRIS STOCK

Chris Stock is a pragmatic leader who is ready to stand up for the people of North Carolina and Senate District 18.

The son of a small business owner and substitute teacher in Wake Forest, Chris was raised with a set of values that reflect hard work, smart spending, and the impact of a quality education.

Chris has seen firsthand the impact policymakers have on working-class families. He’s worked in the North Carolina General Assembly, as well as for State Senator Brent Jackson, where he learned how to implement meaningful legislation, craft efficient budgets, and place the interests of constituents first.

Thanks to his experience in both government affairs and owning a law practice, Chris has the unique and balanced perspective necessary to help give back to his community.

STOCK'S PLAN

To improve quality of life
& lower the cost of living

Issues 1

Revitalize the Economy

Chris will work to lessen the tax burden on residents by implementing tax credits for first-time homebuyers and small business owners and by enhancing North Carolina’s child tax credit.

He will also fight to slash red tape, support ending taxes on tips and overtime, and prioritize improving our local infrastructure to bring more revenue and opportunities to Granville and Wake County.

Issues 1

Protect Our Residents

The safety of our families will always be Chris’s number one priority. We can’t afford to compromise when it comes to preserving the rule of law.

Ending cashless bail will keep violent criminals off our streets, and fully supporting our police will help better protect our most vulnerable areas, including schools and transportation hubs.

Issues 1

Improve Our Infrastructure

A stronger District 18 begins with investing in a foundation that allows us to get where we need to go as efficiently as possible.

Chris will increase funding for local projects, hold the private sector to strict timelines, fight the toll proposal for US-1, and work to make DMV services available online.

Issues 1

Invest in Quality Education

For Chris, improving education starts with putting students first. We must ensure every child has access to a quality education that sets them up for the future.

Through an increase in education funding, Chris will raise pay for school personnel. He will protect girls’ sports, support a Parents’ Bill of Rights, and get politics out of our classrooms.

Issues 1

Preserve Our Farmland

North Carolina farmland powers our state. We must balance necessary growth with protecting our agricultural community — it’s our most valuable resource.

Chris will also fight to prevent foreign countries from buying our farmland to keep our food supply out of harm’s way.
